Older model analog heatblock still working because it has a robust heating element, unlike the heat tapes used in current digital models that burn out at an early age.  There were many different distributors that had this particular model manufactured by Lab-Line, Fisher Scientific eventually acquiring that company because of its valued brand and reliable product lines.  More importantly these units have electrical certifications, especially important for every heating device used in Canadian labs.
