Good as gold. These older model, analog rheostat-controlled shaker waterbaths had powerful motors, no complicated electronics producing a hundred different shutdown error codes, reliable heating coils and a tank that never leaked. They do weigh a lot even if empty, because the shaker mechanism was built like a Sherman tank, which is the story of the beginnings of NBI during WWII. Note that we even replace the drain valve with a stainless steel one that will never seize or become difficult to open or close. Comes with a stainless steel cover.
